We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intake Scheduler to join our Central Intake team. As a Scheduler at SSC, you will play a critical role in building relationships with organization's to obtain referrals and schedule appointments for The South Suburban Council.
Description
Under the immediate supervision of the Supervisor of Central Intake, performs assigned patient care and initial screening assessment responsibilities. The Scheduler will also work to schedule appointments and obtain community and hospital referrals. These responsibilities are essential to meet licensing and other regulatory requirements and to meet generally acceptable professional clinical standards. These functions are essential to assist The Council in achieving established goals and objectives as well as to assure efficient and effective Council operations.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Specialized training in chemical dependency preferred. Ability to comprehend basic concepts of alcoholism/drug addictions. Ability to effectively write required documentation. Must have a valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions and good short-term memory. Ability to successfully complete C.P.R. training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Sitting, standing, walking short distances are activities that the Central Intake Scheduler must perform.
